How you create impact
The Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist - Accounting & Invoicing is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing activities that support a seamless customer experience and contribute to the organization's financial success. Key responsibilities include customer invoicing, intercompany billing, third-party invoice uploads, and the resolution of invoice-related disputes. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the specialist supports KPI achievement while maintaining compliance with standardized billing procedures and delivering high levels of accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct credit checks and proactively resolve outstanding credit review issues to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Manage the entry and maintenance of accruals in SeaLOG and ensure accurate posting to the accounting system (Acon+).
  • Ensure gross profit (GP) is recognized in accordance with company guidelines, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Process & Systems team to identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain current job knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development initiatives.
  • Achieve and sustain billing accuracy levels in alignment with company-established invoice quality targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support shipment execution and arrange Kuehne+Nagel services, including trucking and customs clearance, when required.
  • Review and resolve customer invoice disputes in a timely manner, partnering with cross-functional teams (including CCL and Systems) to address root causes and prevent recurring issues.
  • Upload billing documentation to customer portals and third-party freight audit/payment platforms, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Support standardized billing practices and contribute to KPI achievement by maintaining accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all invoicing activities.

Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
