Job description

Position Title: Logistics Specialist (Small Package)
Reporting To: Director of Operations
Job Location: Bristol, WI
Status: Exempt
Job Purpose: Facilitate smooth functioning of small package area as well as contribute key logistics support in other operational areas. Help ensure daily picking/packing is complete, accurate and efficient. Serve as primary return authorization clerk. Serve as primary backup to the traffic coordinator.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Work with the Shipping Coordinator (Small Package) to verify all shipments are correct, paperwork is accurate, and shipments ship timely
  • Responsible for effective and accurate small package selection - both for aggregation with LTLs/Truckloads as well as direct small package shipment
  • Help maintain climate control room(s) and small package area organization
  • Manage inbound return authorizations, product check and requisite computer/paper work
  • Train under traffic coordinator to learn our outbound LTL and truckload SOPs to be able to serve as primary backup to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1+ years of related or transferable experience
  • Possesses strong planning skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of AS400 preferred
  • Proficient at MS Office and Excel
  • Fork Truck Operators License a plus

Physical Demands
  • Walking and standing 80% of the time
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Stooping and kneeling

Working Conditions
  • Office and Warehouse environment
