Job description

Position Title: LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Location: HOUSTON OFFICE
FLSA Class: NON-EXEMPT
Responsible to: MANAGER OF LOGISTICS
Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching deliveries to customer locations. This position must ensure a high level of productivity, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with field supervisors daily to plan, organize, and execute efficient timing of deliveries.
  • Manage and map out an efficient and effective route for drivers in accordance with company needs.
  • Assists with monitoring and managing levels of products.
  • Monitors and maintains drivers' status and updates schedules accordingly.
  • Update, review and set routes frequently based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Monitor driver efficiency for each load.
  • Interact with all departments and customers to diagnose and resolve potential delays and issues.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
  • Provides customer service as needed to all customers, communicating in a helpful, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Monitor GPS locations of all company vehicles to create the most efficient transportation means.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Other Requirements:
  • Shifts may include day, night, holiday, and weekend coverage as scheduld.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum two years' experience in logistics operations (e.g., dispatch, routing, load planning, optimization) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and policies preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
