Operations Division

The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) works every day to strengthen Tribal public health systems and honor Tribal sovereignty. Behind the scenes, our Operations Division provides the essential support that makes this mission possible.

Our team manages human resources, finance, grants management, and office administration ensures that NIHB staff and programs have the tools and resources needed to serve Tribal Nations effectively. From overseeing federal and private grants to managing budgets and benefits to keeping daily operations running smoothly, the Operations team is the backbone of NIHB.

We are building a talent pool for our Operations Department to identify candidates for future opportunities. While we are not actively hiring for all positions today, we welcome individuals with strong organizational, financial, administrative, and grants management skills to join our candidate pool.

Location: Most Operations roles are based in Washington, DC.

Potential Opportunities

Human Resources Specialist/Associate – Support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR compliance.

    1. Finance Specialist/Analyst – Assist with accounting, grants management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
