Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Account Manager, Transport & Logistics Technology is a hunter-led growth role responsible for driving net-new revenue through the acquisition of new customers across transportation, logistics, and supply chain markets. This position carries no existing account base, and is primarily focused on identifying, prospecting, and closing new-logo opportunities. In addition to new customer acquisition, this role owns the ongoing growth and expansion of the accounts they bring in, developing those customers into long-term, high-value partnerships through upsell, cross-sell, and solution expansion.

The role focuses on selling advanced tracking and visibility solutions, including solar-powered asset trackers, cellular and sensor-enabled smart labels, and a cloud-based tracking system platform that deliver real-time shipment intelligence across global supply chains. This position requires a self-directed, results-oriented sales professional with strong transport and logistics domain expertise and a proven ability to build pipeline from the ground up. The Sr. Account Manager drives outbound prospecting, develops and executes targeted account strategies, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value-based solutions that improve shipment visibility, reduce operational risk, and enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.

Success in this role is measured by pipeline creation, new customer acquisition, account expansion, and consistent delivery of net-new and incremental revenue.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bring deep industry expertise in transport & logistics, leveraging prior experience with IoT tracking technologies (trackers, sensors, smart labels) to accelerate G+D's growth strategy and support expansion goals in North America region.
  • Acquire and grow large transport & logistics accounts by selling IoT tracking solutions (trackers, smart labels, visibility platforms).
  • Serve as the primary business contact for key accounts, ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent customer needs internally and coordinate with operations, customer service, and technical teams.
  • Drive repeat business and account expansion through relationshipbuilding and consultative selling.
  • Promote G+D's IoT Solutions portfolio and leverage global reference customers to strengthen value propositions in the logistics sector.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM records in line with industry sales best practices.
 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in logistics, transport, IoT, telematics, or supplychain technology, with a proven record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Deep industry knowledge of transportation, warehousing, freight operations, and supplychain workflows
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, ability to pitch complex solutions and close highvalue enterprise deals
  • Experience selling IoT tracking devices, GPS trackers, smart labels, sensors, or visibility solutions with strong industry knowledge in transport and logistics IoT sector
  • Consultative selling skills with the ability to identify customer needs and tailor solutions
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, PowerBI) and strong pipeline/forecast management.
  • High urgency, selfmotivation, and ability to work independently to drive fast deal cycles and support aggressive growth targets.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 annually, with bonus eligibility of $30,000 - $40,000 annually.  Benefits offered to eligible employees include medical, dental, vision, 16 days of paid time off per year, 11 paid holidays per year, parental leave, 401K w/ employer match, short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, long-term care insurance, HSA, FSA, EAP, commuter benefits, education assistance and legal plan.
