Forklift Operator
Summary:
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations by safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials. This position is responsible for ensuring products are accurately handled, stored, and prepared for shipment in compliance with company and safety standards.
Available Work Schedules:
1 opening for 11am - 8pm
2 openings for 5pm - 2am
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and review shipping orders or production schedules to determine material movement requirements.
  • Safely load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Transport pallets and materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
  • Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment according to dispatch schedules.
  • Perform inventory control tasks, including scanning, labeling, and verifying product quantities.
  • Rotate stock and organize warehouse storage areas to optimize space and efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and maintain accurate equipment logs.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper PPE use and warehouse traffic rules.
  • Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning of warehouse and loading dock areas.
  • Collaborate with the shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Responsible for accurately picking, putting away, and moving goods within a racking system using a Bendi or standard forklift, ensuring safe handling of materials and timely order fulfillment.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid forklift certification/license (or willingness to obtain).
  • 1–2 years of forklift or material-handling experience in a logistics, distribution, or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
