The organization is seeking an experienced operations and commercial leader to oversee its cross-border logistics business, strengthen customer relationships, and support future expansion.


THE POSITION

They are seeking a Logistics General Manager to lead a complex cross-border logistics organization supporting manufacturing operations in the United States and Mexico.

Based in El Paso, Texas, this executive will oversee multi-site operations in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, with responsibility for financial performance, operational excellence, commercial growth, and customer relationships.

This role extends beyond traditional logistics management. The successful candidate will manage the operation as a profit center, improve performance, negotiate commercial agreements, grow existing accounts, and develop new business opportunities.

This is a highly visible leadership position with significant interaction with executive leadership, customers, suppliers, transportation providers, customs brokers, and government agencies.


Key Responsibilities


-Financial, Commercial & Business Leadership

-Cross-Border Logistics Operations

  • Lead multi-site logistics operations in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
  • Oversee cross-dock, warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations supporting high-volume manufacturing.
  • Ensure the efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies across the U.S./Mexico border.

THE CANDIDATE

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in 3PL, supply chain, distribution, transportation, operations, or general management.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-site logistics operations.
  • Strong cross-border experience between the United States and Mexico.
  • Experience overseeing warehouse, cross-dock, transportation, and distribution operations.
  • Full P&L, budget, revenue, and profitability responsibility.
  • Strong commercial and contract negotiation experience.
  • Demonstrated business development experience, including growing existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.
  • Experience with pricing, proposals, contract renewals, and executive customer reviews.
  • Proven success leading cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience standardizing processes across multiple facilities.
  • Strong leadership experience managing large, multi-site teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced business degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
  • Licensed U.S. or Mexican Customs Broker is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S./Mexico Customs regulations, trade compliance, and FDA import requirements.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare products, consumer products, industrial manufacturing, or automotive.
  • Experience expanding third-party logistics services or launching new customer programs.
