Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience / Skills: Minimum 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, fleet operations, or supply chain operations Knowledge of transportation and distribution systems, freight operations, and logistics procedures Experience analyzing transportation costs, freight classifications, tariff rates, and operational efficiency Understanding of transportation regulations, carrier management, and shipping procedures Experience coordinating fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, repair, and disposal activities Ability to work with third-party transportation providers and common carriers Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to follow established procedures, work routines, and operational guidelines Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external vendors Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transportation or logistics management systems
Job Duties: Analyze transportation and distribution systems and procedures to support efficient and cost-effective product delivery Review transportation proposals and recommend modifications related to rates and transportation regulations Evaluate freight classifications, tariff rates, and operating efficiency to ensure timely and accurate product delivery Plan, coordinate, and support fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, repair, and disposal activities Coordinate with common carriers and third-party transportation companies to support transportation needs Monitor transportation operations and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction Ensure transportation activities comply with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements Maintain transportation records, schedules, and operational documentation Support day-to-day logistics and distribution activities while adhering to established procedures and guidelines Collaborate with internal departments and external transportation partners to ensure operational efficiency
