Events & Field Marketing Manager

CADDi

Chicago, IL

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

CADDi is revitalizing American manufacturing by unlocking the potential of historical drawings and supply chain data. Our product, CADDi Drawer, empowers customers to break the cycle of reinventing the wheel - transforming tribal institutional knowledge into durable company assets. We're a fast-growing team building the infrastructure for a more efficient and innovative manufacturing future!

The Role

We are looking for a Field Marketing Manager to own CADDi's entire field and event marketing motion - from strategy through on-site execution. This role manages a high-volume annual trade show calendar across North America (30+ events per year), a contractor, and a complex vendor ecosystem. It is not an event coordinator position.

You will be the primary architect of how CADDi shows up in the market - at trade shows, industry conferences, executive dinners, association events, and owned programs. You'll work closely with sales leadership to set KPI goals, generate qualified pipeline, and ensure every event has a clear pre, on-site, and post-game plan. This is a senior IC role. You will direct one logistics contractor during high-volume periods, but this is not a people management position.

What You'll Own

Trade Show & Event Program Management

  • Own end-to-end planning and execution across a calendar of 25+ annual events - trade shows, conferences, executive dinners, webinars, association events, and CADDi-hosted programs.
  • Manage multi-city event logistics simultaneously, including booth build, shipping, labor coordination, lead retrieval, and on-site execution.
  • Develop pre-game briefs and post-game reports for every event; run pre-game and post-game meetings with the sales team.
  • Set per-event KPI goals (lead targets, pipeline contribution) in collaboration with sales leadership; track and report on performance.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Own the full vendor ecosystem: booth vendors, AV and demo screen providers, freight and logistics , print vendors, and agency partners.
  • Direct a logistics contractor to support execution during high-volume periods; scope work, manage deliverables, and ensure alignment across events.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage approvals through internal legal and finance workflows, and ensure payments are processed on time.

Sales Enablement & Collateral

  • Lead the customized 1-pager production process for major shows: coordinate with content and design teams to produce account-specific materials tailored to each prospect.
  • Manage event inventory such as branded merchandise, display materials, signage, and experiential assets - ensuring stock levels, quality, and readiness ahead of each show.
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure the right Account Executives and Business Development Reps are assigned to each event and prepared with the right materials and goals.

Associations & Customer Programs

  • Actively manage CADDi's industry association memberships, leverage membership networks for owned-event promotion, co-marketing opportunities, and community building in the manufacturing space.
  • Plan and execute executive engagement events (e.g., Millennium Alliance dinners) and customer entertainment programs (e.g., Suite events) from logistics through post-event follow-up.
  • Align with the marketing team and sales on guest targeting, outreach communication, and post-event lead progression to maximize ROI from executive programs.

Promotional Campaigns & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Design and execute multi-channel promotional campaigns (email, LinkedIn, social, partner channels) to drive attendance and engagement for each event.
  • Coordinate with content, design, and digital marketing teams to ensure all event materials and activations are on-brand and on-time.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop a pre, on-site, and post-event marketing plan for every program.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of field marketing or event marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of independently owning programs.
  • Experience managing a high-volume annual event calendar (10+ events per year) across multiple cities and formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and direct contractors or agency partners
  • Proven pipeline impact from field programs: you can speak to lead numbers, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.
  • Budget ownership experience, including vendor contract negotiation and internal approval navigation.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, you're comfortable coordinating with sales leaders, designers, content teams, finance, and legal simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot or equivalent MAP and Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
  • On-site availability in Chicago and travel up to 45%

Preferred

  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial SaaS.
  • Experience managing industry association or membership relationships.
  • ABM program experience.
  • Familiarity with event tools and platforms: Freeman, Skyline, Veloxity, Canva, Asana, Eventbrite, or similar.
  • Experience planning executive or customer entertainment events alongside a field sales team.
