The Logistics Business Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening our supply chain and delivery performance by turning data into action. As our logistics operations continue to grow in scale and complexity, this role helps ensure we are operating efficiently, cost-effectively, and with a consistent focus on customer experience. This position partners closely with Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement smarter processes, and support technology solutions that enable the business to perform at its best.

About This Role

The Logistics Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing logistics and supply chain processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing solutions that enhance efficiency, performance, and delivery outcomes. This role combines data analysis, process optimization, and project management, serving as a key liaison between logistics, business stakeholders, and technology teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve with business needs.

Key Responsibilities Process Optimization & Analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and delivery performance
  • Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutions
  • Develop, document, and promote adherence to standard operating procedures across logistics teams
Performance Analytics & Reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs such as delivery times, cost efficiency, and error rates
  • Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for performance variances and recommend corrective actions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with IT to develop and implement technology solutions supporting logistics objectives
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance to align logistics strategies with company goals
  • Act as a liaison between logistics, IT, and business teams to ensure smooth solution adoption
Project Management
  • Lead or support logistics-related projects from concept through implementation
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate resources
  • Track and communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders
Data Management & Compliance
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of logistics data
  • Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and company policies
  • Create documentation for system configurations, data flows, and process improvements
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Equivalent: Master's Degree in Analytics
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or business analysis
  • Experience in product management or project management is a plus
  • Practical logistics and operational experience
Technical Skills
  • Expert in SQL, Excel, and Snowflake
  • Experience in Power BI, Python, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE or similar)
  • Experience building analytics and complex reports
  • Familiarity with logistics software solutions such as BuildPro or equivalent
Professional Skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Clear communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-based environment
  • Comfortable making data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
  • Start-up experience, showing ownership a plus
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive logistics operations with a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Ability to work primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to active construction sites
