Job Title: Logistics Manager - Day Shift

Role: The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and safety while leading and developing a high-performing team. The manager also provides reliable logistics support to branch locations, ensuring timely replenishment and consistent service levels. Collaboration with internal departments is essential to drive continuous improvement and support customer satisfaction across the network. 

Main Job Duties:

Operations

  • Oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and returns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage scheduling and workflow to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates and salary team.
  • Ensure proper training, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Inventory Management

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales to manage stock levels and product availability.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards and practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Partner with customer service, sales, and logistics to resolve issues and support customer needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding warehouse operations.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in warehouse or distribution center operations may be considered in place of formal education.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management or distribution leadership roles, preferably within the electrical or industrial supply industry.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems, WMS, and logistics processes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (lean, six sigma, etc.) 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., Eclipse, SAP, or similar).

Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 with bonus potential
