Job description

This is a hybrid role supporting the logistics team with traffic coordination and carrier updates. A background in transportation, logistics, or carrier management is preferred. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required.
Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including shipment planning, load consolidation, and the import/export process. Provide customer support for Lineage Transportation Team.
SUMMARY
Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including clerical work, order entry, planning appointments, track and trace, document scanning, and assisting Logistics Specialists in support of the overall import/export process.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support basic customer needs by answering phones, managing email volume, and becoming familiar with customer accounts
• Utilize transportation software to track and trace vessel and terminal schedules and generate reports for visibility
• Collaborate with Logistics Specialists and warehouse staff to achieve daily goals
• Support Logistics Specialists with planning appointments and coordinating orders
• Assist with billing every 1-3 days and ensure rates are accurate
• Research for both customer and driver documentation
• File and scan driver documentation
• Perform basic audits to review vendor invoices to minimize discrepancies
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No prior experience is required; previous experience in a shipping or transportation coordination environment experience or relevant certification is advantageous but not necessary
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
