Job description

    • Logistics Experience Required - JDEdwards experience preferred
    • First Shift full-time  - $22.50 an hour
    • Contract position lasting 9 to 12 months
    • This is an ONSITE position - must live within 50 mile radius of Plymouth to be considered

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Plan and coordinate transport for controlled in-bound/out-bound deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, customer deliveries, and other items used in the manufacturing process at company sites and co-manufacturer
  • Analyze and optimize the selection of transportation mode and specific carriers based on cost, transit time, equipment availability, geography, and need
  • Receive product into outside storage facilities through JDE
  • Resolve freight delays, carrier problems, customer inquiries, or vendor issues; escalate risks or opportunities as appropriate
  • Complies with all company Safety, HACCP, and GMP policies
  • Immediately report any food safety or quality issues to management or other individuals authorized to initiate action

  • Minimum 1-year related experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation preferred
  • Understanding of logistics concepts and planning tools and software (WMS, TMS)
  • Minimum 6 months JDE experience
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
