Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for two dependable and hardworking Logistics Support Associates to join a growing team in Milwaukee, WI. These contract-to-hire positions support local deliveries, warehouse operations, material handling, tool management, and fleet preparation. The ideal candidate is flexible, safety-conscious, comfortable performing physical work, and willing to be trained across multiple areas of the operation.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a backup driver during high-volume periods and employee vacations or absences.
  • Train to safely operate a 26-foot, non-CDL box truck throughout the greater Milwaukee area.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload spiral ductwork and other materials.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks accurately and safely.
  • Assist with general warehouse organization, material movement, and order preparation.
  • Operate a forklift after completing company-provided training.
  • Learn to safely operate an overhead crane through onsite training.
  • Support tool crib operations by checking in, inspecting, organizing, and documenting returned tools.
  • Identify damaged or missing tools and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain clean and orderly warehouse, tool crib, loading, and work areas.
  • Remove garbage, packaging materials, and other waste as needed.
  • Shuttle and reposition company vans, pickup trucks, and other fleet vehicles.
  • Prepare fleet vehicles for newly hired field employees.
  • Clean out vehicles and stock them with required tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and readiness checks, such as checking fluid levels, tire condition, and general cleanliness.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and promptly report equipment, vehicle, or workplace concerns.
  • Assist with additional warehouse, logistics, and facilities-related responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Comfortable being trained to drive a 26-foot, non-CDL box truck in local traffic.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical work and working in summer heat and humidity.
  • Willingness to learn forklift and overhead-crane operation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Flexibility to move between driving, warehouse, tool crib, and fleet-support responsibilities.
  • Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, delivery, material-handling, construction, manufacturing, or logistics experience.
  • Experience driving a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck.
  • Prior forklift or overhead-crane experience.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspections.
  • Experience using hand tools or supporting field-service employees.
