Inventory & Logistics Coordinator
Calgary, AB
We are a well-established lumber and building materials supplier serving residential and multi-family construction projects throughout Calgary. We are currently seeking a highly organized, confident, and proactive Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team.
This is a key operational role within the business and will act as the central hub of daily logistics and inventory coordination. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring trucks are efficiently routed, loads are optimized, inventory is accurately managed, and materials move through the operation in a timely and organized manner.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced operations, thrives on organization and communication, and is comfortable providing direction and accountability within a team environment.
What You'll Be Responsible For:

Receiving & Inventory Control
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect materials for accuracy and damage upon arrival
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of received goods into the ERP system
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system quantities
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation processes
- Work closely with yard staff to ensure proper material flow and organization
Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily truck routes for maximum efficiency and on-time delivery
- Assign loads and prioritize shipments based on urgency and operational capacity
- Communicate clearly with drivers, yard staff, sales, and operations teams
- Provide direction and coordinate workflow in a respectful and professional manner
- Monitor outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Troubleshoot scheduling, routing, or delivery issues in real time
- Support fleet coordination and daily delivery operations
Operational Support

- Continuously evaluate logistics and inventory processes for efficiency improvements
- Maintain organized documentation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company safety and operational procedures
- Work closely with operations leadership to improve workflow, communication, and overall operational efficiency
