Job description

The Air Freight Export Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts within the air export division, with a focus on perishable freight. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end export process from a client perspective, ensuring service excellence, driving revenue growth, and maintaining strong relationships with airlines and customers. The position requires a balance of operational knowledge, commercial acumen, and customer engagement to achieve business objectives and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned export customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Manage air export shipments from booking through final departure, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, airlines, and key partners.
  • Negotiate and manage customer and airline rates to ensure competitive pricing and profitable margins.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand business volume.
  • Proactively address customer concerns, resolve issues, and provide effective solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and service commitments.
  • Monitor shipment performance and provide customers with updates, reports, and insights.
  • Analyze revenue, profitability, and account performance to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all export regulations and company policies, including TSA and international shipping requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in airfreight export or logistics industry, preferably in the perishable or temperature-controlled cargo

  •  Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  •  Strong knowledge of air export operations, pricing, and international shipping regulations
