Job description

Professional Search Group OC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator for an established Southern California company. This position will support daily logistics and supply chain operations, with a focus on coordinating shipments, tracking orders, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with vendors and internal teams.


The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with planning teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments to help ensure shipments move efficiently and arrive on schedule. Professional Search Group OC is seeking an individual that lives in a commutable distance from Santa Fe Springs, CA and is interested in a hybrid schedule.


Logistics Coordinator Duties

  • Coordinate and track inbound international shipments from booking through delivery.
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Work with planning teams and freight forwarders to ensure bookings are completed on time.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide updates to internal teams.
  • Track customs clearance and courier exceptions and assist with resolving issues.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delays.
  • Review freight and customs brokerage invoices and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain shipment, purchase order, landed cost, and other logistics information in the ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, customs, and compliance records.
  • Assist with KPI reporting and logistics-related data tracking.
  • Support supply chain, logistics, and trade compliance projects as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the logistics and supply chain teams.


Logistics Coordinator Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with an ERP system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Teams.
  • Comfortable working with Excel functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs and import processes is a plus, but not required.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn.
