Shipping & Receiving Manager

The Shipping & Receiving Manager is responsible for leading all shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities for the facility. This role ensures products are shipped and received safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise shipping and receiving team members
  • Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time
  • Manage finished goods and component inventory levels
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, transportation documentation, and inventory records
  • Evaluate logistics providers and identify opportunities for service improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Communicate key developments, challenges, and opportunities to management
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Working knowledge of supply chain, transportation, and distribution practice
  • Forklift operating experience preferred

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2-4 years of logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience
  • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience working with shipping documentation and inventory systems preferred
