Overview

Logistician (H40-2026-25690)

Bowhead seeks a Logistician to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division.

Responsibilities

Job Duties to include but are not limitedย to:ย 

  • Analyzes contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
  • Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. Identifies, prioritizes, and assesses key logistics assets and infrastructures.
  • Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam AND three(3) years professional experience that includes at least one (1) years of experience in providing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in one or more of the following: Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain Management/Support, Technical Logistical Data, or Packaging, Handling Storage and Transportation.
  • one(1) years of specialized technical experience in maintaining provisioning and preparation of government documentation within the logistical technical area's purview.
  • Proficiency in the utilization of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.ย  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
