Job description

Position Summary

This is an ONSITE position located in Bethesda, MD.

NCC is seeking a Logistics Operations Lead to join our team that supports National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality logistics, conference services, and customer support across all event spaces and service channels. This role integrates hands-on operational oversight with program-level coordination, staffing, and stakeholder communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors EMS twice daily to review event schedules, requirements, and service orders.
  • Ensures all conference rooms and meeting spaces are set up according to Event Intake Forms, floor layouts, and organizer specifications.
  • Directs and oversees the full lifecycle of logistics operations for conference events, including furniture, furnishings, storage, water service, and building infrastructure.
  • Determines when rooms should be taken out of service due to logistics or infrastructure issues.
  • Reviews post-event evaluations and ensures team compliance with the Logistics SOP.
  • Notifies the OWS Service Center when furniture or equipment is damaged and requires repair.
  • Provides daily oversight of Logistics Technicians, assigning tasks as needed and confirming work quality.
  • Ensures technician coverage for hours of operation.
  • Coordinates daily with conference center Event Coordinators and AV Technicians.
  • Works closely with the Conference Services Manager on upcoming events and requirements.
  • Attends walk-throughs, planning meetings, and supports government meetings.
  • Ensures water service is provided for all meetings and events.
  • Ability to learn and creates CAD floor layout drawings in VISO as needed.
  • Maintains inventory logs for all furniture and conference equipment.
  • Supports daily operations of call center representatives and ensures shift coverage.
  • Schedules weekly team meetings to review issues and follow-ups.
  • Ensures processing of parking agreements and posters.
  • Acts as a point of contact for representative questions and ensures time entry compliance.
  • Maintains daily communication with the Federal Lead regarding facility issues.
  • Submits supply, replacement, and repair requests.
  • Ensures damaged items are reported and processed appropriately.
  • Oversees logistics infrastructure readiness across all event-related facilities.

 Minimum Requirements 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (Must be able to pass a government criminal background and credit check).
  • 4+ years Demonstrated experience in meeting logistics and/or facility services (and/or call center operations).
  • Familiarity with government contracts preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • PMP certification.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $60,000. The compensation range listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, budget, market data, and relevant laws.
