Material Handler / Logistics Associate
Location: New Boston, MI Shift: 2nd Shift Pay: $18.75/hr
Job Summary
Are you an experienced forklift operator who enjoys variety in your workday? We’re seeking dependable Logistics Associates to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Romulus, MI. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is willing to jump in where needed, and enjoys a mix of forklift operation and hands-on warehouse work.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Logistics Associate, your core responsibilities will include:

Forklift Operation: Safely operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, stage, and transport materials throughout the facility.

Material Handling & Shipping Support: Assist with re-pack and banding stations to secure products for shipment and support overall warehouse operations.

Warehouse Team Support: Maintain a “wherever needed” mindset by rotating between forklift duties and manual warehouse tasks to support the Logistics Team and daily production needs.

In addition, you will maintain inventory accuracy during material movement, follow all safety procedures, assist with staging materials, and support efficient warehouse flow in a fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 months of provable forklift experience within the last 18 months required.
  • Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts required.
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual labor, including banding, re-packing, and material handling tasks.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work mandatory overtime, including arriving early, staying late, or working weekends as needed.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic required.

  • Forklift Proficiency: Safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to shift between equipment operation and hands-on labor tasks as needed.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace.
