Junior Software Developer
Logistics Systems, Database, & CMS Applications

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to support logistics software applications, database systems, content management systems (CMS), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for U.S. Army and defense programs. This role supports Logistics Product Data (LPD), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), database administration, software development, and application support using Python, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Linux, Windows, and related technologies in a defense-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain software applications supporting Logistics Product Data (LPD), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
  • Support and administer enterprise database systems, content management systems (CMS), and related custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions.
  • Develop software using Python, Perl, Visual Basic .NET, Java, C#, C++, and shell scripting technologies.
  • Create and maintain database solutions utilizing SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and other relational database management systems (RDBMS).
  • Analyze user requirements and assist with the design and implementation of new software capabilities and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Perform software troubleshooting, technical support, system administration, application maintenance, and database administration activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, software documentation, source code documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Support software integration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Provide user support, technical guidance, and training for software applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions supporting defense logistics operations

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems and development environments.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages including Python, Perl, Visual Basic .NET, and Unix/Linux/Windows shell scripting.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
  • Knowledge of relational database design, SQL development, and database administration.
  • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar RDBMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of XML, DTD, XML Schema (XSD), and structured data management.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to create and maintain technical processes, software documentation, and source code records.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work onsite and remotely as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with XSL, SGML, Adobe ExtendScript, or Ghostscript.
  • Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, IIS, and ASP.NET.
  • Experience supporting Logistics Product Data (LPD), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), or logistics software environments.
  • Experience with application administration and database administration in logistics systems.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, Cognos Reporting, and/or Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Familiarity with defense, military logistics, technical publications, or IETM development environments.
