Job description

ABSS Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is recruiting for a Field Technician/Operator to become an integral part of our team! You will be working cutting edge technology using theories of RADAR, LIDAR, advanced signal detection, and more in the emerging field of Automated Traffic Enforcement. You will be required to perform installation, repair, maintenance and operational support of red light and speed camera recording equipment installed on MD Roadways.


ASI is looking for candidates in Linthicum MD, Richmond VA, Indianapolis IN and Tacoma, WA supporting a multitude of programs across United States.



This is a self-paced, highly demanding position, where our staff are expected to work autonomously to accomplish their duties and assignments on a daily basis. This position is for those who enjoy working in an outdoor environment where no one day is the same.



Responsibilities:


  • Install and maintain camera and other equipment that records information about vehicles that run traffic signals or are operating faster than the posted speed limit.
  • Daily set-up, operation, and shut down of equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures. Troubleshooting of equipment as necessary
  • Continuous monitoring, recording, and optimization of equipment throughout each assigned work shift.
  • Normal hours for this position vary and can include weekend, early morning shifts and overnight
  • Safe operation of company owned vehicle and equipment
  • Detailed documentation and logging of daily duties completed



Qualifications:


  • Experience repairing and/or maintaining electrical and electronic equipment
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment โ€“ voltmeter, battery testers, etc...
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC power supply theory and applications
  • Experience with basic wire repair & terminations
  • Experience with network control systems โ€“ cat-5, wireless routers, etc...
  • Familiarity with digital camera equipment
  • Familiarity with electronic control equipment
  • Works well independently in terms of time and task management
  • Cable TV, Satellite Installation experience a plus
  • Mostly clean driving record required
  • Clean background screening a must
  • Drug test will be required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (excel, word, outlook) a plus
