LOCUM OB Hospitalist - Mishawaka, Indiana
24-Hour Coverage | Level III NICU | Flexible Block Scheduling
365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist for a locum opportunity in Mishawaka, Indiana. This assignment offers 24-hour in-house coverage within a high-acuity obstetric program supported by a Level III NICU and strong hospital resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking flexible, sporadic coverage with the ability to work multi-day blocks.
Schedule Model
• 24-hour coverage shifts
• Shift options include:
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage included as part of schedule
• Minimum of one weekend per month preferred
• Ability to work 2-4 consecutive days
Coverage Needed
• Start ASAP upon credentialing
• Ongoing sporadic coverage
• At least one weekend per month preferred
Practice Overview
• Inpatient OB Hospitalist role
• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• High-acuity obstetric environment
• EMR-supported clinical workflow
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist coverage
• Manage labor & delivery patients
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Respond to obstetric emergencies
• Monitor fetal heart tracings and intervene as needed
• Collaborate with NICU and hospital care teams
Practice Environment
• Level III NICU (one of the few in Northern Indiana)
• Structured inpatient hospitalist model
• Dedicated provider accommodations onsite ("hospital hotel room")
• Ability to work consecutive coverage blocks
• Temporary privileges available
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60-90 days
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in OB/GYN
• Active Indiana license at time of submission
• NRP and PALS certifications
• NCC in Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Clean malpractice and background history preferred
• Local candidates within driving distance preferred
