Stroke-STEMI Coordinator

Located in the heart of Central California, Madera Community Hospital is a General Acute Care, private, not-for-profit hospital dedicated to improving and maintaining the health and wellness of residents throughout the Central Valley. Madera Community Hospital is a growing acute care facility seeking talented individuals with a drive to provide quality care and dedicated to making a difference in our community.

The Stroke-STEMI coordinator will manage the hospital's acute stroke and heart attack (STEMI) programs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care through staff education, patient/family support, performance monitoring, data analysis, and compliance with accreditation standards. Will act as a liaison, lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop protocols, track outcomes, and drive continuous quality improvement for faster diagnosis, treatment, and better patient recovery. Will develop, implement, and oversee the Stroke and STEMI programs. Will work with physicians, nurses, and leadership to improve workflows, guide treatment protocols, and ensure timely care for acute events. Will collect, analyze, and report on stroke/STEMI data; initiate performance improvement activities to meet quality benchmarks.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Requires Current California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS certification.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
  • Current NIHSS Certification
  • Prefer TNCC or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) National Certification.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.
  • Requires 3-5 years of ICU or Emergency Department Clinical Experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork among co-workers and physicians.
