Ophthalmology PhysicianColumbia, SC(Locum Tenens)Position Overview:We have an immediate need for a full time locum Ophthalmology Physician to provide Ophthalmology services for our veteran population at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in veterans lives while experiencing the unique beauty of historic South Carolina.Scope of Care: Physician shall be responsible for providing Ophthalmology care, including, but not limited to: Operative Services: Physician shall provide comprehensive clinical Ophthalmology services including the full range of oculoplastic Ophthalmologist/Glaucoma specialist Physician shall provide consultative services at the patients bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and in the clinic setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic. Procedures shall be scheduled for completion within 30 days of the date of the consult.Must have completed a residency in Ophthalmology and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.Hours & Schedule: VA Business Hours: 8:00am 4:30pm EST On-Call, Holiday, Overtime required:o Off-hours Coverage: Rotating call coverage among the providers in the clinic.
