Locum Obgyn Physician

Location: Longmont

Position Type: Locum | Physician – OBGYN

Overview

A well-established hospital-based OBGYN program in Longmont, CO is seeking a Locum OBGYN Physician for ongoing 24-hour in-house call coverage. This opportunity focuses on deliveries and urgent OB/GYN care with strong on-site support and collaborative coverage.

Practice Highlights
  • 4 shifts per month (24-hour in-house call)
  • Group Size: 7 OBGYNs + 4 Mid-levels
  • Average hospital patients per day: 4–5
  • Average deliveries per week: 3–4 per physician
  • OB/GYN surgeries per week: 1–4 emergent
  • Case Mix: 70% Low Risk | 30% High Risk | 21% C-Section Rate
  • Lab & Ultrasound onsite (performed by Tech)
  • Nursery Level II (ability to transfer to higher-level NICU)
  • Transfer center: Typically to Anschutz Medical Campus (approx. 30 miles)
  • EMR: Epic (clinic & hospital)
  • No supervision of other providers required
  • No teaching responsibilities
Required Procedures
  • Obstetrics: Low & High-Risk Pregnancy Management, FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
  • Labor & Delivery: Routine Vaginal Deliveries (including low forceps), C-Sections, Complicated Deliveries (breech, multiples, abruptions), VBACs, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Gynecology: Open & Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Procedures (tubal ligation, LOA, chromal tubation), Major Operative Procedures (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA)
  • Preferred: OB Ultrasound Interpretation (Level I/screening)
Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified in OBGYN – REQUIRED
  • Active Colorado License or Active IMLC LOQ – REQUIRED
  • BLS & ACLS – REQUIRED
  • NRP – REQUIRED
  • Must perform all Required Procedures – REQUIRED (note at name clear)
  • Self-Query NPDB (pulled within same month) – REQUIRED
