As a Locum Infectious Disease Specialist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of infectious diseases. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and your contributions will directly impact our team's ability to deliver quality healthcare solutions. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose infectious diseases and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and treatment protocols in infectious diseases.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease prevention and treatment options.
  • Assist in the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patient interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Associate-level experience in infectious disease management.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine with Infectious Disease fellowship preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Tennessee.

Schedule: Friday-Monday, 7a-5p with night call from 5p-7a

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 10-25 patients, 8-10 admissions

Duties: Infectious disease consults

No procedures required

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
