Lockout personnel may work in industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance settings, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.

What are the typical work environments and team structures for Lockout/Tagout Technicians?

Lockout/Tagout Technicians most commonly work in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance settings, often as part of safety or maintenance teams. You may be responsible for implementing and verifying LOTO procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and updating documentation. Depending on the company’s size, you might work independently or as part of a specialized safety group, and your input often contributes directly to broader workplace safety goals.
