What You Will Be Doing
As the Applications Engineer Principal - Level 6 you will be responsible for providing expert consultation to technical teams and leadership, shaping technology strategy, and guiding funding and proposal efforts to ensure future project success.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Consult technical teams and leadership to improve execution and resolve complex issues.
  • Analyze technology strategy and roadmaps, delivering clear recommendations for development pursuits.
  • Advise leadership on funding capture strategies and proposals to secure resources for upcoming projects.
  • Gather and assess product capability information and evaluate competing equipment.
  • Prepare equipment analyses and present proposals to the sales force and customers.

Provides consultation to technical teams and leadership to drive improved execution, complex troubleshooting, and organizational efficiency. Analyzes technology strategy and roadmaps to provide recommendations on development pursuits. Consults with Leadership on funding capture strategies and proposals to support adequate resourcing for future projects.
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products; investigates the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related technical field of study
  • 12+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years of experience developing and deploying manufacturing technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical leader, coordinating across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across all levels of an organization from entry level to executive Vice Presidents
  • Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and associated materials & processes.
  • Advanced project management experience.

  • Proven ability to identify, recommend, and drive increases in organizational execution efficiency
  • Extensive knowledge and use of analytical approaches or methodologies to solve technical challenges
  • Strong project management skillset

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $158700.00 - $294700.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
