Job description

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

Our Emergency Department (ED) is comprised of 50,000 square feet of clinical space with 55 treatment rooms. An additional 8,000 square feet houses the resident room, library, conference space and administrative offices. It also includes private rooms, in-department radiology suite, discharge pharmacy, waiting room and triage area, employee lounge and locker room, and five care areas (pods), including an 11-bed care pod for our crisis/behavioral health patients. It is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Join our team and make good happen!

Our Nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Work schedule: 3 PM -11:30 PM, flex, every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota. 
  • One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required. 
  • Completion of an accredited associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree program in Nursing.
  • Certifications: 
    • BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS are required through AHA.  
    • NIHSS is required by time of hire.
    • TNCC and either PALS or ENPC - ability to obtain by time of hire.
