We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable temporary contractor to support the Mortgage operations of the Retail and Correspondent Desk. This role will collaborate closely with Loan Officers, Lenders, and other internal departments and individuals to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of customer loan data. The ideal candidate will bring a foundational understanding of mortgage operations, strong analytical and mathematical abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Process loan updates and lock changes in alignment with established pricing and eligibility guidelines.
Assist in the testing, validation, and documentation of updates to pricing and eligibility rules.
Support reporting, tracking, and audit activities to promote transparency, accuracy, and compliance across Lock Desk operations.
Communicate effectively with internal partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth loan pipeline management.
Required Skills & Experience
Above‑average mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately work with fractions, percentages, and basic calculations essential to pricing and lock scenarios.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong capabilities in Excel.
Prior experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
