We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (or Veterinary Assistant with at least one year of experience) to join our growing team.
Our hospital offers both General Practice and Urgent Care services, giving our team the opportunity to work with a wide variety of medical and surgical cases while maintaining continuity of care for our patients. We see cats, dogs, and small mammals, and we strive to provide care through a Fear Free-minded approach that minimizes stress and promotes positive experiences for both pets and their owners.

What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play a critical role in patient care and hospital operations by partnering closely with our veterinarians and support staff.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia
  • Taking diagnostic radiographs
  • Collecting and processing laboratory samples
  • Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Monitoring hospitalized and recovering patients
  • Providing compassionate nursing care to patients
  • Educating clients about treatment plans, medications, preventative care, and post-operative instructions
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Supporting both General Practice and Urgent Care workflows
  • Working collaboratively with the entire hospital team to deliver an exceptional client experience
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience
  • Ability to safely restrain cats, dogs, and small mammals
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medications, and common procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and client-service abilities
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
