We are seeking a full-time Journeyman Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician role based in Houston, TX, and requires on-site responsibilities. The professional in this role will be tasked with performing systems troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, managing repair or installation work, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations, and collaborating with team members for efficient HVAC solutions. Additional duties may involve addressing plumbing and electrical systems related to HVAC projects and contributing to the smooth operation of HVAC systems. Must join Local Union 211 and be able to pass aptitude test.


Job Duties: The professional in this role will be tasked with performing systems troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, managing repair or installation work, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations, and collaborating with team members for efficient HVAC solutions. Additional duties may involve addressing plumbing and electrical systems related to HVAC projects and contributing to the smooth operation of HVAC systems.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 yrs experience specific to the commercial HVAC industry
  • Proven skills in HVAC Troubleshooting techniques for identifying and resolving equipment issues
  • Competency in performing Preventive Maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity
  • Knowledge of Plumbing and Electrical systems related to HVAC projects
  • Familiarity with EPA and environmental standards, with certification preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of building mechanical systems
  • Ability to work efficiently on-site in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair is a plus
  • Relevant certifications or licenses, including a journeyman HVAC license and EPA certification
