Victaulic sales representatives are out on the road every day, meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continued success. Our sales team consists of team players who are self-starters with strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude and a drive to succeed and communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN

  • Learn Victaulic's full product line and understand how our solutions help customers complete projects on time and within budget.

  • Master grooved mechanical pipe joining methods as well as competitive methods (welding, flanging) to confidently overcome customer objections.

  • Understand construction cycles; identify and follow major construction, expansion, or retrofit projects; and stay current on market trends and competitor activity.

  • Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations to become a recognized part of the industry within your territory.

  • Partner with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential.

  • Execute all phases of project pursuit - from inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job site training, final commissioning, and after-sale follow-up.

  • Gather complete quotation information including application, specification, pricing, and timing requirements; lead inside sales, engineering, and support staff to meet customer needs.

  • Develop lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners in your territory.

  • Invest meaningful time with customers, including evenings and weekends for dinners, sporting events, and other social activities.

  • Partner with Victaulic distributors in your territory and manage a balanced distribution network.

  • Coordinate activities with other Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists to ensure the best possible customer experience.

  • Identify customer needs and educate them on the overall value Victaulic products bring to their projects.

  • Conduct job site tool demos and installation training.

  • Deliver lunch-and-learn presentations for engineers on Victaulic's cutting-edge products.

  • Influence decision-makers by demonstrating confidence in our products and clearly articulating their value to maximize your sales potential.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Previous sales experience with "value-added" products/services preferred - especially in commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products.

  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required by territory.

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and handle equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds.
