Job description

Since 1994, SPORTIME has been proud to operate the finest tennis and sports facilities in New York State. SPORTIME's 20 club locations most recently expanded to include the iconic Port Washington Tennis Academy, now SPORTIME Port Washington. SPORTIME currently offers 192 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 131 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, at sites across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the NY Capital Region. SPORTIME clubs are state-of-the-art, yet affordable, and feature the best tennis, pickleball, sports and camp facilities and programs, including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (JMTA) and SPORTIME Volleyball Club (VBC). SPORTIME clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year.
LOCATION: SPORTIME Englewood
JOB SUMMARY:
To develop VBC players and teams through skill development and team training sessions and to provide coaching during all VBC competitions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To assist with the implementation of VBC training plans throughout the club season.
2. To develop team training plans for their respective teams and to implement those plans at each club practice.
3. To provide coaching supervision during all VBC competitions.
4. To communicate with club parents during all overnight events
5. To ensure safety of all players.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Extensive high level playing, teaching and/or coaching experience in volleyball.
2. Strong communication skills
3. Excellent management and leadership skills.
4. Excellent people skills.
COMPENSATION: $22-$30 per hour plus tournament coaching fees
SCHEDULE: Part-time. minimum 2-4 hours per week. Coaches will be required to coach 3-9 weekend competitions based upon each team's individual playing schedule.
