Job description

Primary Purpose:

TowneBank is a relationship and friendship driven local bank focused on basic human values that will serve to create a warm sense of belonging and financial well-being among our family members. We are seeking a Loan Operations Representative to handle member requests and questions received by phone or email. In addition, this employee will work on administrative functions including incoming mail processing, preparing loan payments for item processing, and other routine business tasks.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $37,500 to $44,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer service to both internal and external members and serve as the primary employee responsible for incoming telephone calls.
  • Handle member requests and questions received by phone or email.
  • Perform general office clerical duties, including mail distribution and payment processing.
  • Assist with administrative functions, including mailings and other routine business tasks.
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, use logic and judgment to make appropriate decisions, and work well under pressure to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Previous experience in a branch or loan processing area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
