The Mission
Leidos is seeking a Logistics Technician to support a large enterprise IT contract. The Logistics Technician will support the team that is responsible for end user technology refresh installation support of existing hardware, software, system configurations and new system initiatives to ensure that the organization's information technology infrastructure is operating securely, reliably and efficiently. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities of customers.
Primary Tasks
  • Support the Tech Refresh Installation Team by providing mission ready staging support to support the Installation of new desktop equipment for end users. Responsible for unboxing, staging, and disposition of end user equipment.
  • Assist delivery personnel with the unloading of IT equipment pallets, ensuring the pallets are delivered to the correct location at the facility (e.g. move to correct location in loading dock).
  • Unboxing of IT equipment and disposal of boxes/trash.
  • Move equipment from the loading dock to equipment staging area.
  • Stage equipment for desk-side installation. Staging includes ensuring all wires and cables required are available and with the computer, registering MAC addresses, updating documents with asset information and other staging tasks.
  • Open service tickets associated with installation of desktop equipment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational discipline, and time management.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) - IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).

Clearance Requirement:
  • An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a poly.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties up to 8 hours per day.
  • Awareness and responsiveness to safety signals and environmental conditions.

Education:
  • Typically requires High School Diploma or equivalent experience and 5+ prior relevant experience.
  • Travel- Up to 75% of time, mostly within National Capital Region. Additional travel may be required to other areas of the continental US.
