Ewing Outdoor Supply is looking for Loader Operator to assist the branch with loading customer orders and comprehensive yard maintenance. The qualifying candidate will be someone with a strong customer service skill set, as this role is not a seat only role. You will play a vital part in yard and branch cleanliness and organization, customer interactions and hospitality. Inventory control is a key part to this role as well.

The role consists of the ability to load trucks with rocks, landscape materials, pavers, mulch etc. with accuracy and care. Loader and heavy equipment experience is key to being able to jump in and start making a difference.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTIBILITIES

Yard Loader Operators are expected to support Yard Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful yard operations, as well as providing customer support. Additional requirements include completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Yard, its Region and Division.

The job performance of a Yard Loader Operator will be evaluated based upon their effectiveness in executing the duties and responsibilities listed below.

Requirements

  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
  • Knowledge of landscape yard inventory stocking procedures
  • Ability to operate loaders and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Proven work experience as a Yard Customer Service Associate, Landscape Materials Associate, or similar role.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good driving record with no traffic violation
  • Knowledge of landscape yard inventory stocking procedures
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination a plus
