While both roles require technical knowledge, commissioning is project-based, and operations technicians work in ongoing plant management.

What is LNG commissioning?

LNG commissioning is the process of bringing a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility or system into operation. This involves testing, verifying, and adjusting equipment and processes to ensure they function correctly and safely according to design specifications. The commissioning phase includes activities such as system checks, equipment startup, safety validation, and performance testing. It is a critical step to ensure the facility operates efficiently and meets regulatory standards before full-scale production begins.
