Position Description
MidState Mechanical and Electrical, LLC is looking to fill the role of Journeyman Electrician. We are a family owned and operated company that specializes in public funded prevailing wage projects. Our vast portfolio consists of small municipality facilities as well as schools and government funded projects. We offer top industry wages and a very comprehensive benefits package for the right candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Installing various types of equipment including but not limited to panel boards, transformers, switch gear, generators, and transfer switches
  • Troubleshooting and repairing all systems
  • Installing or replacing new lighting and control systems
  • Installing underground ducts and transformer vaults for distribution systems
  • Install site lighting and associated underground raceways
  • Installing specialized systems including fire alarm, access control, and paging systems
  • Interpret plans and specifications to facilitate installation of all electrical systems

Position Requirements
Experience / Qualifications
  • Commercial experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to work at various locations in Central Pennsylvania
  • Ability to pass required ACT 24, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances

Knowledge and Skills
  • Able to read plans and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to working as part of a family-oriented team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
