Overview

LMI is seeking a mid-level Installation Energy Optimization Analyst to support the implementation and oversight of a installation energy management program for a large government client. The position will be hybrid, with some work located at the client site in the Washington, DC area and some work located remotely.

Responsibilities
    Provide program management and analyses support to assist in the development of strategy, policy, plans and guidance related to a wide range of installation energy programs and initiatives.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in management of energy compliance and policies, and energy efficiencies.
  • Assess feasibility, cost, and mission impact of diverse energy programs and initiatives.
  • Make recommendations to enhance energy efficiency and technology adoption at military installations.
  • Coordinate with cross agency stakeholders to elicit installation energy requirements and conduct gap analyses.
  • Research and respond to energy data requests from White House, oversight agencies (e.g., OMB) or Congress
  • Draft, develop, refine and champion briefs, reports, memoranda, formal correspondence and other deliverables to support DoW Leadership decisions to advance installation energy performance objectives and adoption of innovative technologies, policies and practices.
  • Support the client's facility energy project initiatives by acting as a technical advisor and subject matter expert on installation policy development, current statutory requirements, and pending legislation.
  • Evaluate installation energy optimization initiatives to determine expected impact, timelines, costs, constraints, and implementation considerations.
  • Coordinate with government, utility, industry, and public stakeholders to advance energy initiatives at military installations.
Qualifications
  • BS or BA
  • 2 - 5 years' experience
  • Knowledge of the DoW mission and organization
  • Superior time and workload-management skills
  • Experience providing consulting support (developing briefings, issue papers, and analyses; meeting facilitation); superior writing and communications skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced highly visible environment on leading edge energy policy and program development and implementation
  • Secret Clearance

Desired

  • Experience with energy management in buildings and facilities; and land use issues
  • Policy development experience
  • Experience with CATMS workflow management system

Target salary range: $90-120k
