Job Title: Adult Outpatient Therapist (LMSW / LLMSW / LPC / LLPC / LLP / TLLP)

Location: Southgate, MI

Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire

Schedule: Full-Time | Days (37.5 Hours per Week) | Flexible Scheduling Available

Pay Range:

  • Full License: $29.47 - $39.67 per hour
  • Limited License: $27.22 - $36.63 per hour

Position Summary

The Adult Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health assessment, counseling, and treatment services to adults and families in an outpatient behavioral health setting. This role involves conducting intake evaluations, developing person-centered treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support client recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake evaluations and comprehensive mental health assessments.
  • Assess and document client needs using Person-Centered Planning principles.
  • Provide individual and group therapy services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, family members, schools, and community providers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and records.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and team meetings.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies, contractual requirements, and state licensure standards.
  • Complete required training related to mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Current Michigan licensure in one of the following:
    • LMSW
    • LLMSW
    • LPC
    • LLPC
    • LLP
    • TLLP
  • Minimum one year of experience (including internship or fieldwork) working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness.
  • Ability to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential within 120 days of hire.

  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs.
