Lively Mental Health and Behavioral Center is searching for a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in substance use recovery to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working remotely while providing essential therapeutic support to individuals grappling with substance use disorders. This position is completely remote, providing you with the opportunity to carry out therapeutic interventions efficiently and flexibly. Our clinic maintains a culture of collaboration, where team members communicate regularly via digital platforms and participate in virtual meetings. With an emphasis on work-life balance, our designated work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and treatment goals of individuals seeking assistance for substance use disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s circumstances.
• Provide individual counseling sessions using specialized techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate behavioral change and foster empowerment.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that create a sense of community among participants, encouraging peer support and shared experiences.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely assistance.
• Educate patients and families on addiction, available recovery strategies, and community resources that can aid in the recovery process.
• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to further enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
• Stay informed about developments in substance use disorder treatment, incorporating new research and best practices into your therapeutic approach.

As a Mental Health Therapist specializing in substance use recovery at Lively, you will work with a diverse population of individuals, including adults seeking to overcome various challenges associated with addiction. Our clients comprise varying backgrounds and experiences, and your approach will need to be adaptive, utilizing sensitivity and empathy to address their unique journeys.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.
• Strong proficiency in substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and group therapy in the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to patient care.
• Skills to maintain professional boundaries and adherence to ethical guidelines while ensuring client confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to client success.

• Prior experience working in community health settings or addiction recovery programs is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in integrating family dynamics into treatment plans to enhance recovery outcomes.

The salary range for this position is approximately $115,000 to $130,000 annually.
