Private Duty Caregiver

Job Summary:

Safe and Sound Home Care, a family-owned company, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Duty Caregiver to join our team in Oxford, Mississippi. As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will provide professional, one-on-one care to elderly and disabled individuals, enabling them to live safely and independently at home. Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by tending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete client shopping or accompany them.
• Perform household duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency.
• Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meal preparation, serving, and other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
