Job Title:Live hanger Date Posted:7/4/2024 Department/Group:Back Dock Posting Expires:Location:BS Processing Travel Required:No Level: Hourly/SalariedHourly Position Type:Non-emption Job DescriptionPosition summary Hang live birds in a moving shackle on a conveyor belt about waist level.Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Pick up birds according to animal welfare guidelines and place in a moving shackle. · Rotate along different positions on the live hang production line. · After training, must be able to hang 25 birds per minute. · Cross trained to operate the cage dumper · Comply with all plant policies · Identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management. · Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications · Ability to lift and hang live birds weighing 7.0-11.00 for 100% of the workday· Standing/walking 100% of the workday· Must be able to perform repetitive motion· Must be able to work in a hot and dusty environmentPreferred Qualifications · 2 years live hanger experience · High school graduate
