Job description

EMT - Nibley/Millville

Cache County Corporation is seeking an EMT to join our Fire District. This is a part-time position serving the Nibley/Millville areas. The EMT responds to emergency medical calls and provides BLS-level patient assessment, treatment and care in accordance with Utah State EMS protocols and agency guidelines. This position promotes readiness, professionalism, and teamwork in all assigned duties.

Due to the nature of the calls, the candidate must live in Nibley or Millville, Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Stabilizes patients using appropriate inventions such as airway management, bleeding control, CPR/AED use, splinting and oxygen administration.
  • Assists with packaging and transporting patients.
  • Assists AEMTs and Paramedics with advanced care procedures within scope and under direction.
  • Completes accurate, timely, and professional patient care reports and required documentation.
  • Communicates clearly with dispatch, partner agencies, and receiving facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; AND One (1) year of job-related training.

Licensing/Certifications Required:

  • NREMT- or Utah EMT license
  • CPR certification

Special Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Utah State Driver's License.
  • Must not have any convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or reckless driving offenses within the previous five (5) years or no more than two (2) moving violations within the previous 24 months.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must live in Nibley or Millville
