Job description

The Account Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new audiovisual, lighting, and live event production opportunities. This role combines client relationship management, project development, estimating, and operational coordination to support successful event execution and long-term business growth.

The ideal candidate is comfortable building client relationships, developing project opportunities, managing bids and pricing discussions, and collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure successful show delivery. Depending on experience and strengths, this role may lean more heavily toward business development, sales, or project management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scout, identify, and develop new regional AVL production and event opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a primary point of contact throughout project development
  • Prepare proposals, bids, and project pricing using Finesse software
  • Manage client expectations, project scope discussions, and pricing negotiations
  • Coordinate with Operations and Production teams on show planning, staffing, logistics, and execution strategies
  • Assist with event execution through site visits, onsite supervision, and client support as needed
  • Support business growth initiatives and help expand market presence
  • Maintain awareness of current industry trends, technologies, and client needs within the live event space

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in audio, lighting, or video production environments
  • Previous experience in business development, account management, project management, production management, or sales preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with operations and production teams
  • Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or bids preferred
  • Knowledge of live event workflows, show execution, and production logistics preferred
  • Experience using Finesse software is a plus
  • Experience with Vectorworks is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and attend onsite productions as needed
