Job Summary: The Drafter IV (Expert Level) is a senior technical role responsible for leading complex drafting projects and supporting department-wide improvements in quality, efficiency, and innovation. This role serves as a subject matter expert, represents drafting in cross-functional initiatives, and helps advance drafting tools, standards, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead drafting for complex projects, including MBMA Class 9 and 10 structures.
  • Resolve advanced detailing challenges, including hybrid structures.
  • Lead department-wide improvements in drafting quality and efficiency.
  • Introduce and implement new drafting tools, including BIM integration and automation.
  • Represent the drafting department in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Lead drafting efforts for cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other drafters as needed.
  • Ensure drafting deliverables meet company standards and project requirements.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 9-11 years of drafting experience, preferably in metal building or structural steel environments.
