A brief summaryโ€ฏโ€ฏ

The Technical Producer role works in the Clientโ€™s Esports Event Tech (EET) Department. You will be responsible for ensuring the EET team has the appropriate milestone checkpoints, quality assessments, and good governance in place to deliver exceptional service.โ€ฏ

You will be a key member of the events support team, organizing the various technical teams tasked with planning and executing needs at live events. Core to the role, tracking schedule along with monitoring and communicating accurate status updates to stakeholders and executives.โ€ฏ


You will foster an open, transparent environment. Identifying efficiencies in process improving workflows and balancing the tasks/asks.โ€ฏ Simplifying and speeding up the development cycle, keeping meetings/schedules on track, documentation up-to-date, and backlogs neatly groomed.โ€ฏ


The Coordinating Event Producer role will be based out of Los Angeles, California with required international/domestic travel. Expected travel will be about 40% per year and candidates must be comfortable being away from home for up to 4 weeks at a time. You must be in possession of a valid passport and must maintain your travel document.โ€ฏ

What youโ€™ll be responsible forโ€ฏ

  • Liaising with multiple teams to establish and maintain interdepartmental workflows for executing large-scale international publishing events
  • Ensure technical support teams make clear commitments and deliver on them
  • Ability to work across teams and disciplines to coordinate technical support needs for executing large-scale international publishing events
  • Onboard, track, measure, and evaluate vendor performance
  • Provide technical support. Troubleshoot issues, install and equipment, and act as first layersupport for onsite vendor resources
  • Create documentation (SOPs) and processes and how toโ€™s for vendor supported workflows.
  • Set and manage timelines for events to ensure staffing, equipment and technical needs are met.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with co-workers to collectively guide and lead the teams to execute against the feature roadmap to high quality and on time.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations through interpreting and communicating stages to invested audiences.
  • Drive RCA and retro process, keeping a live tracker of notes for each post event retro.
  • At times you may be required to assist Engineering teams with physical set-up and configuration of IT infrastructure.
  • Be the first point of contact for direct reports for any queries, escalations, and feedback.
  • Communicate and reinforce key business/service delivery needs to your team.
  • Understand key Company policies/processes and help your team to understand.
  • Be responsive to requests for information to colleagues and other departments.
  • Take any necessary steps to ensure that individuals are not subjected to harassment, sexual harassment, or bullying.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience leading development efforts for medium-to-large teams or an advanced degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a Tech/Craft leadership role
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams including engineers and designers to ensure the products they build meet the needs of customers who use them.
  • Experience with selecting, developing, and maintaining relationships with vendors.
  • Experience working with teams, especially remote, across multiple disciplines, time zones, and cultures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, Airtable, and Trello
  • Experience working in time-sensitive and high pressure situations like live event broadcasting
  • Familiarity with live event production in a broadcast team environmentโ€ฏ
  • Knowledge of streaming, OTT technologies, protocols, and monitoring
  • Outstanding technical problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working on a team supporting large, interconnected broadcast systems and designing scalable, production-ready architecture.
  • An understanding of the player experience for League of Legends and Valorant would be beneficial.โ€ฏ
